We focussed on the discomfort I experience in my hips and helping me build some tools to unwind, reduce anxiety and to fall asleep more quickly. I loved the sessions, and really miss having my weekly down-time with Molly. I definitely found significant improvement in the discomfort in my hips - and the tools and tips that I’ve learned from the sessions have allowed me to keep the discomfort at bay. Alongside this I’ve now learnt great ways to relax myself when I’m feeling stressed and having trouble with my sleep. All in all, Molly was an amazing yoga therapist.
Molly is quite simply awesome. I had been attending Molly’s Vinyasa Flow classes for some time before deciding to start yoga therapy with her. Molly’s sincerely compassionate and caring tone was enough to encourage me to try it out and I wasn’t disappointed.Molly has a genuine interest in the origins of yoga which as I understand it, is intrinsically linked to yoga therapy with the practice designed around each person’s individual needs. Molly worked carefully with me to design a short routine and exercises that I could use at any point which would allow me to get out of my anxious head and into my body. Molly has natural nurturing and empathetic qualities which is really important for this kind of work and was really important for me. Molly’s also just a lot of fun and a real joy to be around. Couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
“I have suffered with IBS and digestive issues for the best part of 10 years; I’ve been prescribed numerous medications to manage the symptoms and pain, but to no avail. For the last few years, I’ve been trying to manage my IBS with my diet – I find that being restrictive on certain ‘trigger’ foods such as Bread or Pasta doesn’t really help me, I still suffer with bloating and stomach pains (sometimes which are excruciating).Molly taught me the importance of breath in nourishing and calming the body through a sequence of gentle movement and breath. This was something that felt a bit alien to me at first, however when I took this away as home practice I noticed how slowing my breathing and pouring breath into the lower belly actually had a de-bloating effect!As an active person I don’t really give myself any time for rest. The therapy overall has helped me to realise that I am allowed to slow down; to trust my body and senses, and to practice for as long or as little as necessary to reap the benefits.The goals of the therapy were to feel less full in my belly, as well as reduce discomfort. I found that after the first session alone I was able to alleviate bloating with slow, deep low belly breathing. I now have go-to poses to help on days where I am feeling full, and on days where I’m feeling delicate.”
